If my computer has a 1500 watts power supply and power cord, can I just plug it into my wall without broke my computer? I live in a normal house in America, do i need do anything else other than just plug it into my wall?

Solution
Most fuses will max out at 1500W unless they have been changed to run higher (had a friend who got his changed to 2000W and also added a second line).

And as said, unless you are somehow maxing out that PSU (most likely not) then you should be fine.

Unless you have a really really crappy house from 1890, and a PC that sucks up huge amounts of power...you're fine.

watts law is: watts/volts= amps 1500w/120v=12.5a

most receptacle in your house will be rated for 15 amps, also the breaker that the circuit is on should be 15 amps, the wire in your wall should be 14 awg which is rated for 15 amps. so if your house is up to code you will be pushing the limit of safety at 15 amps. you are pulling 12.5 max load, not all the time but max. so if you have other things plugged into the circuit you might start popping breakers. DO NOT replace a breaker or fuse with a larger one they are their to protect the wiring. If you start blowing fuses or popping breakers look for a 20Amp receptacle. it will have two slots one with a T shape it should also have a hole in the middle top or bottom Google it if you need a pic. it should be on a 20 amp breaker and have 12 awg wire if you're house is up to code.
