Laptop HDD move to desktop pc

Hey everyone,
I am building a pc soon and are considering saving some cash by reusing my old laptop HDD (2.5 inch) in my desktop (Windows 8 os). Would i be able to just pull the drive out of my laptop and put it in the desktop or would i run into some driver problems?

if the laptop have this hdd on and the os on it so it is oem and could not work at all check the oem details on win 8 compare to a retail one you will be lucky if it work .

so it would work? would i have to uninstall the drivers for my current laptop before putting the hdd in the desktop?
