What's causing lag in League? CPU VS GPU

Currently I have a GTX 760 Superclocked by EVGA and AMD FX 8320 @3.8ghz but for some reason I am lagging in league of legends. How? This is way over the recommended requirements for league and yet I still receive lag. I have no anti-virus software running, I regularly defrag my hard drive etc. What is wrong?

Solution
Have you tried overclocking your CPU (if you have an aftermarket cooler)? I remember someone with a 6300 had the same problem a while back and that solved the problem. Otherwise I would have to agree with Captainzach assuming you have the latest drivers for your 760.

I also play League with a similar setup but with an i5 2500k@4.8Ghz and a HD 7950. Basically the Intel and AMD "counter parts" lol. FPS is in the hundreds range uncapped but screen tearing forces me to enable v-sync.

It's not ping lag, it's FPS. Ping doesn't effect FPS in League
Also I have 8GB of RAM

You need to identify the type of lag you are experiencing - is it GFX related, Internet or Processing?

If it's GFX, try clean installing the latest drivers
If it's Internet - make sure you have bandwidth (i.e. siblings on Tablets/Mobile Phones/Downloads/Streaming shows/YT etc) - also it is the Holiday's so every man and his dog is online at the moment
If it's processing, make sure all background apps are closed and so forth - I note you don't have an SSD in your build - you will get a massive processing boost just from having your OS installed on an SSD rather than a HDD.

Case flow, Definitly not. I am planning on upgrading things, however nothing is reaching really high temperatures and therefore thermal throttling is not a possible solution.

Not ping/internet lag. It's FPS. During teamfights or in situations where there is a lot on screen I lag even when I set things down to low settings.

When I play when out of teamfight i get anywhere from 100-200fps then later in game/after teamfights=30-40fps

OK so I know what you are talking about now (I have League but my hardware doesn't let it dip below 60) and alot of people are having this issue, it's not your computer it is the game itself and there may be an update to patch this issue
