Can't Launch Programs for 1-2 Minutes after Startup

It's started happening very recently, I have had this computer for around 2 years. It started I would say around 4 days ago, I ran AVG yesterday and it fixed the problem. But then today, it happened again. It's not the internet that is causing the problem, it's occurring on my entire desktop :)

I have NVIDIA, yes. I have had it since the day I got the computer, I will try turning that off and see if it fixes it :)

Try starting in safemode

and doing a scan with the AV

Or better still download and install AVAST and run a bootscan once you have updated it to the latest definitions.
I suspect you have malware of some kind And it may be monopolizing your internet connection for a while at start up

i agree aot the virus part sir

but i strongly feel that this might be due to Gforce experience ( i used to have the same problem )

If you have programs set to startup on launch then windows is going to be slow when starting up, you can either wait 1 - 2 minutes for it to startup fully or make it so there is no startup programs.
