Hi I've recently replaced the CPU in my desktop from a Celeron g530 to an i3-3250, but whenever I go to turn on the computer it will start for a few seconds and then switch itself off, only to repeat this process about 6 seconds later.

I've tried reseating everything, removing the non-essentials etc but to no avail.

One thing I have noticed is that it will still boot if I put the old processor back in, which made me think it could possibly be a faulty item?

I'm not sure, and still new to this stuff so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Will.

Hi, Did you update the BIOS version while using the Celeron? If not, and BIOS version is older than 2.00, then I suggest updating it.
