This will be my first gaming build, love the idea of building my own PC can't wait to start ordering however I'm not a great decision maker and keep wobbling between different combinations of parts. Before my confidence is high enough to start experimenting I would like to get some advice on my first attempt from you guys if that's alright.

I'm trying to get a powerful gaming PC as much under £600 as possible and have come up with the following, I'll savage the hard drive, ram (4 x 2 GB) from my current PC.

Also, I do sometimes stream video to my projector would I encounter potential problems with this build?

The build's good, but I would actually do something like this, which gives you an SSD:

Good budget build - I like ASUS's ACX2.0 version of the 970 but that's just preferential. The video you selected has DVI, Displayport & HDMI ports so if your projector uses HDMI you're good to go, but if it uses a VGA port (which I bet it does), you will need to get a VGA to DVI adapter which you can find either locally (Best Buy, Radioshack, etc) or online (Monoprice, amazon, etc.). Only tweaks I might make would be to upgrade your power supply (I like Corsair or Seasonic but that is just personal preference based on reliability of the ones I have bought)

My projector does use HDMI and I was thinking about a storage upgrade in the near future.

I'll have a close look at your builds in a bit thanks guys, I was just about to post another build I guess this could go on forever I have to make a decision at some point I won't post anymore after this one :)
