for starters, Skyrim is a demanding game even for desktop PC's. Modding Skyrim will only call for more robust hardware.
Here is a benchmark for a 750m playing Skyrim, on low settings without mods, you will be fine, otherwise, it will be unbearable to play.

What is your budget you spend?
It is capable for a laptop, I had one and I could play games like Planetside 2 at 40fps on medium settings. I was able to play Crysis 2 at lowest settings but the framrate was unstable 15-30 and it eventually burned out the chip. I played this with a quad core i7 haswell and 8gb of ram Asus n550jv. It is capable of playing most current games at ok settings if paired with other decent hardware.
