Hello!
I would like to build a gaming and streaming (pc and xbox 360) pc.
Can you give me some suggestions please? That would be very appreciated!
To get optimal perf, I could go up to 1200$.
I need: monitor, OS, optical drive, USB wireless adapter,SSD is optional (and of course the pc itself).
I want 16gb of RAM as it helps multitasking and streaming, I found this one, all positive reviews:
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory,
Also, I live in the UK, so that will be the equivalent of 800£
And for the rest, I give you the choice!
Thank you

Timdoux

You can go with a locked intel i5, but I hear the AMD 8-cores are pretty good with streaming

Thank you for your fast answer, but forgot to say I live in the UK, and maybe you can take a lower graphic card, to upgrade some other things, but thank you very much.

P.S: I can go up to 1200$ or 800£

Thank you very mich once again,
But I think the AMD 8-core was better, at the same price,
The graphic cards review aren't good (apparently it stops working),
And I think the motherboard could be a bit better.
Thank you once again :)

Thank you very much for this build, which looks very good.
Only thing might be the power supply, i dont know if 550W will be enough, and I dont wanna take the risk that something happens to my PC.
And is the i5 4690k better then the Amd Fx said before??
Is it worth that much money more?
Maybe the AMD Fx core spare money could go to the power supply.
Thank you for you fast answer,
Timdoux

Ok thx.
And ok, downgrade to 8gb (2x4) and tell me what you can get instead.
Thank you for your professionalism

You can spend less and get a slightly faster GPU when dropping to 8GB. This is the revised build:

You can also get an SSD for the boot drive if you want to go just slightly over budget.

I do think it is, but I wanna be sure

Power supply: Ldlc bg500, 500W 80 plus bronze,
Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV extreme S2011 x79, (I heard it was awesome)
Cpu: I7 3820 3.6 ghz,
Cpu cooler: Thermaltake CLP0607 CPU COOLER NIC C4 2X120MM,
Memory: G.Skill RipJaws Z Series (4x4 gb),
Graphic card: Sapphire Radeon R9 290X,
Storage: SSD 2'5 Samsung 840 Pro,
Storage: Western Digital
- 3 To,
Case: Thermaltake VP600M1N2N Urban S4.

Is 500W enough for this setup?
Thank you for taking the time to tell me if it's any good.

Intel CPUs are stronger per core and draw less power.

The i5-4690k has stronger cores and draws less power than the AMD FX series, so get it.
