Hi,

When my SDD(C:) went wrong I installed a temporary Win7 on my HDD(D:), and now the remaining files mess up the boot, boot post became 40sec from 3. The system can't boot up without the HDD(No operation system found). My idea is that when it doesn't find Win on D, only then starts from C:. Which of the following files should I delete (and Boot folder is on HDD)?

when you installed the temp win 7, you moved the boot partition off the ssd. it needs to be put back onto the ssd for it to boot. try taking out the hdd and running a repair install on the ssd to put the boot partition back. it should work fine. then format the hdd drive to use as storage or keep it on hand in case it is needed agin since you know it will boot fine.

that's ok, once the ssd is booting on it's own, you can simply delete all the windows stuff by putting all your data into a single folder and deleting everything else. then through computer management, you can delete the system partition and such from it. your data should be safe and sound

take the hdd out though before doing the repair install on the ssd so nothing accidentally happens to it.

I've done it, now the SSD can boot on its own, but it's still not working well. When I turn the computer on, the computer beeps, and the boot_device led flashes, then 40secs later goes out and just then boots the computer. The bios is set properly.

if the second hdd is installed with a working windows on it, the pc will have to take a minute to see which one to boot up.

move all your data to one folder and then delete everything else on that hdd. it should stop looking at this windows install since it won't be there and boot up normal. if it still does look for it, you may have to remove the reference to it in msconfig. the boot tab will show if windows is looking at more than one installation or not. remove any one other than your ssd's install if there is more than one.
