Router ethernet ports not working, but WiFi works?

Yesterday when I turned on my PC the internet connection didn't work. It shows my connection as "Unidentified network" in the Network and Sharing Center and when I tried the Windows Network Diagnostics tool it said that "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration. I googled around a bit (on my phone's 3G) and tried several fixes to no avail. Then I tried using the WiFi that's provided by the same router (Cisco EPC3825) which worked flawlessly. I tried my girlfriends PC which is connected via an ethernet cable as well and it had exactly the same problem as my PC. I checked the router's summary of connected devices on my laptop and it only showed WiFi devices (Chromecast, tablet, 3 phones and the laptop). My conclusion is there has to be something wrong with the router.

I haven't touched the router or it's settings between the connection working and not working, but there's always a possibility that our 8-week old kitten has been tampering with the router while I've been at work. I don't know.

I'll post here the (hopefully somewhat relevant) specs and the ipconfig.

My PC:
Gigabyte GA-990FX-UD3 rev 4.0 mobo
AMD FX-8320 CPU
Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3 1600 2x4Gb RAM
PowerColor Radeon R9 270X PCS+ GPU
Samsung 840 EVO 240Gb SSD
Seagate Barracuda 2Tb HDD
Samsung Spinpoint F1 500Gb HDD
Corsair CX600M PSU
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

GF's PC:
Asus M5A97 R2.0
AMD Phenom II x4 955 BE CPU
Kingston ValueRAM DDR3 1333 4x2Gb RAM
Samsung Spinpoint F1 1Tb HDD
Sapphire Radeon HD7850 GPU
Antec EarthWatts EA500 PSU
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Laptop ASUS X54C

Also connected to WiFi are a Nexus 7, a Nexus 5, a Galaxy Nexus, an iPhone and a Chromecast,

Router:
Cisco EPC3825
I don't know if this should be called a router, it's a cable modem with 4 ethernet ports and WiFi. I'm not familiar with networking technology (and even basic lingo) at all.

My internet connection is a 50 meg broadband connection provided by DNA Welho (a local ISP here in Finland) which has worked pretty much flawlessly since I moved into my current apartment a year ago.

So my question is: Is there something I can do about the router or do I call my ISP for a replacement? Or is this even about the router?

Please ask me for any info I might have forgotten, I have been wrestling with this damn problem and 98 more since I got home from work 6 hours ago and I don't feel exactly right in the head. I need some coffee and nicotine.

I'm having a similar problem with my Cisco EPC3828D (firmware version e3828-c3100r5593-140829c). Also same ISP (DNA Welho in Finland). The ethernet ports stop working, while wifi works. Rebooting the modem does not help, but resetting to factory settings using the small pin-hole fixes the problem.

This problem happens about twice a month, and every time the factory reset solves the problem. I got a replacement EPC3828D modem and the problem is occurring with this modem also. My ISP is investigating this problem, and they asked me not to reset the modem next time so that they can remotely read the logs from the modem. Let's see what the logs say, perhaps I just had bad luck and received two faulty modems.

Has anyone here heard of similar problems with Cisco cable modems? I'll update this post when I get more information.
