How much is my i3 540 gonna bottleneck my gtx 970?

Hey guys i was thinking about getting a msi gtx 970... But currently i have no plan for a new cpu. So i was just wondering how much is my i3-540 @3.07 ghz is gonna bottleneck the monster gtx 970? Is it enough for restricting me from getting a decent fps in ACU? Thanks .... :)

its a virtual cores , if your cpu have physicaly 2 cores...with hyperthreading will simulated 2 cores more

not as much ...but maybe 5 to 10% less performance ? i do not know exactly

Forgive me but what is hypertreading ? And does 'certain games' include ACU or not? Because of this bottleneck , performance gained by gtx 970 will be similar to which one? Gtx 750 or something like that? Sorry for my english

Thanks mate.... But what about assassins creed unity? I heard its really dependent on both cpu and gpu? Is it true? Won't i get a decent fps because of this reason?
