Can't install Windows 8.1 on a Crucial 256GB MX100 SSD, using a m5a97 r2.0 motherboard

I'm getting this error

As i try to install windows 8.1 in a Crucial 256GB MX100 SSD.

Here are my Sata settings:

I've tried formating, deleting and redoing the partitions and nothing works. Please help.

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

Windows 8 and 8.1 also needs some "security" option. Check that in your BIOS that your have active an option called "secure boot" or something similar.

Try resetting the BIOS to default or optimized values. Try updating the BIOS.

Are you trying to install from disk? If you are installing from an optical drive try first to disconnect all other drives in the system and then reset the BIOS to default values. Make sure the drive you are trying to install TO is configured as the primary drive in the BIOS, it looks like it's configured as drive 2 according to your screenshot. There may be hidden partitions on one or more drives causing problems. You can use the following utilities to assist you.

I've tried installing from a external DVD and from USB, i get the same message every single time

>Windows cannot be installed to this disk. this computers hardware may not support booting to this disk ensure that the disks controller is enabled in the computers bios menu

Solved the issue by cloning the HDD onto the SSD, now i just hope the issue doesn't extend beyond just this.
