Ok so i recently got a new Intel SSD 530 Series. I plugged it in my computer but do not see the device on my computer anywhere as a storage device. If i go to my computer options it is just not there and i cant figure out how to access it. I know that the computer recognizes it because when i enter the bios it shows the ssd as an option but i still dont have any clue as to how to use this thing as a storage device. Is it broken? I also know it isnt faulty wiring because i tested the same wires and plugins on another drive and it works perfectly fine. If someone knows why i cant use the SSD please help me or I will just return this product, Thank you.

Solution

Do you see it in Disk Management? If so, Initialize and create a primary partition.

In Disk Management, right click on that space.
What options do you see?
