Could I get away using a CPU just under the minimum requirements for a game?

The system requirements for Grand Theft Auto V were released today. The minimum CPU requirement is a Phenom II X2 545, whilst I have a AMD Athlon X2 260.

From what I've read, they're both pretty similar with the 545 outperforming the 260 by more or less a hair. I'm well within the minimum system specs when it comes to GPU, RAM and such, so do you think I could get by using this old card until I put together a new computer in 6 months or so?

Then I would holdover on the game entirely until you have a rig capable of playing it in anyway worth playing.

Hmm, it seems I made a mistake. I don't have a a Phenom ii X2 260, I have an Athlon ii X2 260. Well now I'm confused. Whilst both low end processors at this point, I'm unsure of how the Athlon ii x2 260 stacks up against the minimum required Phenom ii x2 545.

Because I defer to others when it comes to all matters tech, I looked at the two on Game-Debate, and it stacks up quite well.

numbers i am seeing show these 2 cpu's to be almost equal performers. one has a slight edge in one benchmark, but the other has the edge in another. it goes back and forth but the athlon actually seems to be very slightly better overall. the phenom can be oc'ed but stock they seem to be pretty much the same.
