Can't enable DC Offset Cancellation after moving to Windows 8 with Realtek Integrated audio.

So yeah, I updated to Win 8.1 a while back and using the same available drivers for my motherboard (Asus M5A00-FX Pro 2.0) I somehow lost the ability to enable DC Offset Cancellation. Several months ago when it was on sale on Steam, I had bought Rocksmith 2014 and just used the no cable patches that were floating around out there, and it worked excellently so long as the cancellation was enabled. That was before i moved to Win8.1, however.

On W7 I was able to turn it on and off, but it seems I cannot on 8.1. Its not available in the realtek GUI provided by the drivers, nor it is there in the Window's advanced settings dialogue. These are the exact same drivers I installed on Win7 and the latest available for my board.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to enable it? Or did something change in Windows 8 that prevents it from working?
