Hi everyone, I have a G3258 and I haven't purchased my motherboard yet.
What I had in mind was to buy a Z97 ASRock Anniversary. Although, I am pushing my limit with my money. I did not want to spend $100 dollar's on a motherboard right now since this is my first build. Before the Z97 (I changed my mind to that board because apparently on start up pressing P gives overclock presets-easy for me) I had a H97M or regular ATX verison in mind.
I am more comfortable with ASUS and other more 'common' motherboard offers (although I assume ASRock is good), but I thought the Z97 only had this G3258 overclock abilities. From what I gathered, I thought incorrectly and that isn't the case..?
I hope that makes sense... its quite hard to explain.
Anyways, I saw someone list certain boards that will take the ability to overclock the G3258 away, is that true?
I'm just very confused, and I didn't really want to spend that price on a board. If I have to, or if that looks like the best bet, I will.
What do you suggest the most? I really need help as I am looking to buy my parts right now. :(
Thank you so much.

Much debating about 2 hours later after posting this, I went with my instinct and chose the Z97. Very excited as I felt it was the right choice. Seems like a good board if I ever decide to upgrade to a i5. Thank you, this assures me. :D
