Hey guys need a bit of help from you all!

I'm a newbie to PC building, this is my first build.

These are the specs which I currently have:
Processor: Intel i7 4790
Mobo: Asus H97 PRO GAMER
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb
PSU: Corsair RM 650
Cabby: Corsair carbide air 540
GPU: MSI GTX 970.

I need solution for the cooling. Since I do not overclock, I guess I wont need a liquid cooler.
Suggest me a good air cooler to keep my CPU cool!
And also suggest me how to keep the GPU cool? Are there separate coolers for GPU?

Solution

Sure. :)

16GB of RAM is too much, you can save without losing any performance by going for 8GB.
An I5 performs just as well in gaming as an I7, but an I7 can be nice if you want to video edit or stream or that sort of thing.
You only need around a 550Watt PSU. Get an XFX TS 550 and save a bit there.

The 2nd one is widely recommended everywhere.

And yes there are custom solutions for GPU's as well, actually i do have one which is AC Accelero:

I must admit if the stock cooling is bad then that might be a savior, on my old XFX 7850, my loud hair drier converted into a silent whisperer with <50C at 100% GPU usage. And that was only their cheapest passive solution with some custom 12cm fan attached with some diy fasteners.

Yes I intend to game with this.

Can you tell me where I'm going overboard and suggest me with some solutions?

Thanks in advance :)

If you're not going to overclock, the stock cooler is more than enough.

But if you insist on a cooler, you could look at something basic and easy to setup, I suggest the Coolermaster TX3 EVO for the CPU.

And you really wouldn't need a GPU cooler as the ones included with the GPU in that range is more than just good. Even for a mild overclock.

Without overclocking and for low cost, either of those suggested coolermaster coolers will work. Even with an i5 overclocked to 4.2 running between 10-25% core usage (basically idling) the 212 evo is keeping it around 11c over ambient and it's pretty quiet (meaning the psu fan is probably louder). I'm not the biggest fan of it's mounting method but it works. For around $40 the kotetsu or cryorig h5 might be better but not necessary. A little better cooling, likely better mounting methods.

16gb ram is a bit overkill for just gaming. Even with chrome open in 2 instances, photoshop, illustrator, bridge, the calculator and hw monitor open, the system I'm on is using only 10gb of 16gb installed.
