So two super cool people on this site gave me 2 different builds, and Intel and an AMD. I was just wondering which would do better playing games (Advanced Warfare, BF4, Counter-Strike, Skyrim) at 1080p at around 60fps at high-ultra ish. I was also wondering if either of them could be improved while still staying under $800 USD.

The amd build will give you better performance :) although it's your choice, but really both will do fine in all actuality. It comes down to whether you decide to go with pure amd, or intel and nvidia. Personally I'm apart of the red team, and blue team. :D

With a budget of $800 let me suggest a build with a better GPU (GTX 970).
HDD: $53 - WD Blue 1TB
GPU: $330 - Zotac GTX 970
PSU: $40 - EVGA 500W 80+ ( Ample to support GTX 970 with some headroom for more)
Motherboard: $55 - Asrock B85
ODD & RAM: $46- Samsung & Crucial 4GB ( Combo here)
CPU & RAM : $214- Intel i5-4430 & Crucial 4GB (Combo Again)

Total ( Excluding Case,Rebates): 737 USD
Rebates: $10

About Case: It's your choice.
Also if you find GTX 970 to be a too much you can frop down to R9 280X ($250), R9 280 ($200) .
With the saved money you could look for an SSD (128 GB or even 256 GB) like
$80 - Crucial 240GB

Hope you like it .
