Hello everyone
I've had a 250gb maxtor since 7-8 years ago but last year when i installed another WD 1TB beside it the problem started.
back then i had windows xp and it had a lot of sata driver problems connecting the new sata hard drive (motherboard chipset nvidia mcp61)
the maxtor got really slow , copying on it could take about an hour and the windows crashed during (explorer not responding , windows lagging badly) finally the data being moved got corrupted on the maxtor.
so i installed win 7 to get rid of the faulty xp drivers that caused this , and it was working fine till now when i almost filled the maxtor partition (2gb free), the maxtor is a whole seperate partition , and whenever i try to write to the drive the same problems happens on win7 sp1.
I checked the drive for bad sectors with both windows tools (chkdsk)
And Seatools on dos , non of them have found bad sectors.
What could be the problem ?
Tnx in advance.
