Hi, as said in the title I am having some problems with my internet connection whilst using a torrent client (Tixati). My connection regularly cuts out after ~ 10 minutes of connectivity and I've found the connection is restored when I unplug and replug the network adapter, but the connection does not restore when I reset the router. From this I have deduced that it is not the ISP that is capping my download speed.

My connection on my wifi maxes out at ~ 3000 KB/s but then after the speed drops to around 500 KB/s:

I'd also like to note that when the connection reaches it's point of cutting out completely (as seen in the graph) There is a device disconnect/reconnect sound that comes on. I have checked with the driver settings and power management settings and still nothing.

Here are my specs:
Wireless adapter: TP-LINK TL-WN822N Ver. 2.0
Router: EchoLife HG532 Firmware v3.03t
Torrent client: Tixati
Operating System: Windows 8 64 bit
Thanks, I hope you guys can help me out.
Oliver

I suggest lowering the number of Max concurrent connections you have. Sometimes having too many max concurrent connections can overload home networking equipment (either your OS or the router). I've had this problem in the past. I found that setting my max concurrent peers at around 100 gave me much improved stability.
