Radeon R9 280x PSU Requirements

Hi, I have a FX 8350, and I was wondering if a 500watt psu from corsair, would be enough for a R9 280x as well, as the CPU as it is 125W.
Or will I have to upgrade my PSU to a 600watt?

Best to be on the safe side though. Your performance may go down if you don't have the minimum requirements for a 280x. I would definitely spend the extra $4 to be safe, come on!

I have a 750w bronze PSU with an overclocked 8350 and an overclocked R9 290 and I have only ever pulled a max of 550w from the wall, so take away the innefficiency of the PSU and it will be at around 480w... so a 600w is more than enough for a stock clocked 8350+280x
