Toshiba External HDD Canvio Connect shows up, but can't access

I bought a Toshiba 2TB drive with Canvio Connect. I plugged it in both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports on my laptop, It says it downloaded the drivers fine. I see it under the Device Manager and Disk Management. I even got SeaTools for Windows and everything seems fine.

The problem is I can't get into the drive. It does not show under Windows Explorer.

I tried plugging it into a powered USB hub. When I do, a generic drive shows up in Windows Explorer, but it shows no bytes and says "Please insert a disk into Removable Drive F"

Any help would be appreciated.

Directly connect to the computer (not the hub) and see what Windows shows in Drive Management (found in Control Panel > Admin Tools > Computer Management). If it shows zero capacity there, it may be a hardware issue with the drive.
