Hey.

I started building my PC yesterday and all went really well! Followed lots of guides etc, and no problems installing anything. All SATA connectors in place. CPU, GPU, CPU cooler, HDD's, drives etc. all installed with no problem.

This morning when I went to boot the PC for the first time to enter BIOS, it didn't boot. The green power light on the motherboard stays on. All my front panel connectors are fitted correctly. Even when powering on directly using the motherboard button, it still doesn't boot. However, when I remove the CPU power connector from the power supply, and then power on, the PC boots up but only for one second, and then it shuts off. In that one second, the motherboard completely lights up and all fans, GPU and CPU cooler work. Also, when the CPU power connector is connected to the PSU, when I power on, it makes a little click? Does anyone know why it would boot/power on (for one second) when the CPU isn't connected to the PSU, but not boot when it is?

Many thanks in advance! I'm really stuck here. I've reset the CMOS and connected and reconnected everything. Been puzzled for hours now.
