Geforce GTX760 or Radeon R9 280 - 500watt PSU

Hi guys, I was wondering, which is better to get for a 500watt psu, a GTX760 or a R9 280, as I am upgrading my graphics, please can you help.

I'm pretty sure the r9 280 out performs the gtx 760 in alot of things and when you overclock the r9 280 it beats the gtx 770. If you have a good PSU you will have no problem running both of the cards. Like shiva92 said there are better features for the gtx 760 like shadowplay etc..

You have no idea what your talking about. 280 is more closer to 770 than 760. It have more Vram, more memory bandwidth and overclocks like hell reaching 280X performance with ease.

I recommended 760 becouse 280 is more power hungry and it will not be on safe side running it on 500W.

I agree with you Undying89. Considering everything(PSU limitation and performance without overclocking), I recommended GTX 760.
