Hi,
Hi guys,

I'm planning to build a very good media system on which I will be able to play games in good quality.

The system I had in mind goes into a
Case: Silverstone SST-GD08B USB 3.0 Grandia Desktop - black...

I decided some parts but will they work in my case?

MOBO: Asus Z97 [Which one?]
CpPU: I5 4690K
RAM: 8gb/16gb (what kind?)
Cooler: Noctua NHl12
Be quiet! 500w
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 970 - Gaming
OS-Drive: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250gb
2-3 WD hdd (green/red/black?)

Will this system work? Will cooling be sufficent in that case and will it fit?
Is it too much or good enough for most games on a 55 uhd tv?

I would really appreciate any suggestions to my system?

Thank you

It won't make that much of a difference - the improvement from a green to black drive for games is fairly small, and not something I've ever noticed that much. I really just like the black drives for the extra warranty. If you can install games and programs on your SSD though - then you'll really notice an improvement in load times etc.

MOBO: I'd probably just go with the Z97-A in that case, or even the Z97M-plus to give you some more room.
RAM: I'd just go with 8gb unless you are doing CAD or a lot of Photoshop or something. Any plain 1600mhz DDR3 will do the trick - spend your money elsewhere in the system.
GPU: Look at the Asus Strix GTX 970 - it runs completely silent unless you're really taxing it. Great for a HTPC.
Drives: WD Green are nice for media / etc. Go with Black if you see them on sale, or have more critical data of some sort.

Yes - everything looks nice, and it should all work fine. Cooling will be great - more than enough really. And that 4690k + GTX 970 will crush pretty much any game at 1080p! Good luck!
