New graphics card, only booting sometimes?

I recently purchased a new GPU, the Gigabyte GIGABYTE GV-N980G1 GTX 980. I installed, got the latest drivers, the whole nine yards. However when I went to reboot, everything lit up as it should but there was no display. My monitor keeps turning on and off saying "Display port not connected". Sometimes when I hit the "Reset" on my MOBO, it will boot just fine. Likewise, sometimes it boots up just fine. I did everything I know to do: updated my BIOS, uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers, unplugged, replugged, and the same issue occurs. When my PC does boot, it runs normally with no issues. Sometimes, the graphics card does not load up my monitor. HELP! D:

Specs:
MOBO: Asus X99 Deluxe
CPU: Intel 5820K LGA 2011-v3
16GB DDR4 Ram

I have a Corsair RM 750W. It's a very good PSU, I am certain that is not the issue. And no, I cannot.

Yes, but I really doubt it's a cable issue. My computer is not booting up the full way, it's like it's getting stuck when it tries to bring up the display.

The RAM is not new, I have had it for a few months with zero issues. It is very high end.

But my point is, it is not faulty, I have had it for months. It has been running without a hitch. The only new thing in my system is the GPU, and now all of a sudden it is sometimes not booting properly.
