Hello, people. You see, my Windows XP's monitor randomly shuts off. The object with the power button on it (I forget what it's called) is still running, and I don't know how to check if a fan is running. I have no idea how to replace something - I can only pull out the plug connected to the upper back side of the power-button object to forcefully shut down my computer. I don't know how to dismantle a computer, but I'll go into detail. You see, sometimes, always when I have some task running, the monitor shuts down on its own. I've tried all the keyboard buttons, I've tried all the monitor buttons. I need to forcefully shut down the computer by pulling the plug, then turn it back on. The strange thing is... when the monitor blacks out, I can still hear the hum. The power button on the lower right side of the monitor is still lit up. But there's no way to turn it back on. It's like a new kind of BSOD - Black Screen of Death. HELP!
