I have a retail and a burned copy of Windows 8. I also have a valid store-bought product key. I am trying to install windows onto my 240 GB Intel SSD. Upon booting from the install disk for windows, I enter my key and select my hard drive that I want to install to. I click on delete for all the partitions that are there, leaving me with only the SSD and its 100% free space. Then, I click new and create the windows partitions for the SSD, and then proceed to install Windows 8. After the install is done, I boot to windows and run the "sfc /scannow" command in an elevated command prompt to check my computer for any corrupt windows files. It comes back with multiple corrupt files that it cannot fix.
Someone please tell me how you can get corrupt files from a fresh install of Windows. I even used another install method!
*THINGS TO NOTE*
I have installed Windows 8 on this SSD before, and the only formatting I did was use the "Delete" button in the Windows install panel, right when you chose where you want to install it. Could this be a factor as to why I'm getting corrupt files? I could also upload the CBS Log if anyone would like to take a look at it.
