My pc started to lag really bad and freeze, so I checked for viruses and nothing showed up. As a last resort I restored from a automatic backup from a couple days ago. How long shoup it take to complete this? It has been on the "updating system registry" page for around 3 hours now. Please tell me if this is bad, or not. Thanks!

It depends on how many programs need to be reinstalled and also how many files need to be restored. You should not be worried if it is taking a long time, I recommend giving it a full day as it is known to be a horrible utility :p
What type of storage are you using HDD? SSD?

Thanks!

@reedo, nope, I shut my pc off. Next morning it was very slow loading.

@Rafi Khan, I think I'm using a Toshiba 1tb, with about 150gb left :p

Forgot to mention that it was blue screening randomly while playing minecraft I couldnt get the error code fast enough, as it would reboot.

You shut it off partway through? Not good. Just leave it run. Eventually it will either work, or error out.

No, I didn't shut it off during the update. Two nights ago I shut it off, and when I turned it on(yesterday) it was very slow and freezing. Today I tried antivirus and that didn't catch anything. So I did a restore, from the 28th, I belive. The restore is still going on right now

No, no strange noises or anything out of the usual. The HD light isnt on, or flashing which is kind of strange. I can hear the HD working, though. Also, the little blue circle loading thing in place of my mouse won't stop spinning, and I can't move it around.

Edit: HD barley feels warm, it's not vibrating or clicking. It does sound like it's doing something.
