Im upgrading my pc and im getting the i7 4790k , i currently have the AMD 6300. How much of a performance boost will i see? just curious as all, as i cant find a comparison between the two.

Solution

An enormous boost. I went from an overclocked FX-6300 to a stock 4770k about a year and a half ago. In BF3/BF4 I went from 45-75fps to 80-120fps. Same GPU. It's been an amazing upgrade in every possible way...gaming, rendering, recording...

You'll never want to buy a budget CPU again.

Here is me playing BF3 with my FX-6300/7870LE combo w/frame counter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXtmeIdcPDM

And BF4 with my 4770k/7870LE combo w/frame counter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaBwgTTKKWM
