Why does Advanced Warfare run so poorly on my system?

AW Multiplayer runs at 60FPS at some points, but then the FPS just spike drops to around 20 at some points.

SPECS:
GPU - Sapphire r9 280x 3gb gddr3
CPU - a10-5800k 4.2ghz quad
PSU - 500w bronze+ evga
SSD - Samsung EVO 840 256gb
RAM- 8gb hyperx 1600 mhz

I think your APU is the cause...with that GPU, you should be able of keeping high details at 1080p, if the rest of the settings are ok (mainly shader preloading enabled and supersampling disabled).

That said, the game just slows down for no apparent reason on my hardware too, and I'm not maxing it out either, not to mention it's afflicted by heavy memory leaks, so it's just how it is. Some have stated that their condition improved when they increased their RAM from 8 GB (or lower) to 16 GB (or higher) too, albeit only slightly.
