Will i need to reinstall windows if i change mobo and cpu?

Im changing my motherboard and cpu to a Gigabyte z97 hd3 and an i5 4690k from an FX 6300 and an Asus M5A97 r2.0. Will i need to re nstall windows with a disk or will i be able to boot from my hard drive?

Yes you would need a clean install , they are different chipsets and different manufactures , it won't boot.

You have to format , so you would have to backup first.
