Hi, I'm planning on getting an i5 4690k along with a Z97-Pro Gamer Asus motherboard to upgrade from my AMD FX-8350.

I'm planning on overclocking my CPU (Which I fully don't know how to do it yet :D) so I'm going to need a cooler that can fit in a Corsair 300R case.

What is the best cooler for the price? Don't really have a budget, just wanna look at my options, thanks

Unless you're doing a custom loop, then that's basically it. Then I would get the H100i. It's pretty much the best watercooled CPU cooler you can get.

Air coolers.. from the lower end but good Hyper 212 EVO. The higher end are dual tower phatecks, be quiet and the highest would be Noctua NH etc. Especially the d15. Then water coolers start at 120mm which isn't much. You want a 280mm nepton 280l.

You need a new copy of OS for a new motherboard just in case you didn't know

Pretty much any CPU cooler will fit. Are you willing to do watercooling? Or would you rather stay with air cooling (which you can OC surprisingly high with)?

God dammit forgot about the OS -_-

Water Cooling isn't more hassle than air cooling so I can always look at that. It's just the case of fitting in a radiator to the top of your case then connect it to the actual CPU right?
