Which direction do I place my fan?

OK so I looking at my case from the side with the mobo facing up. I have a small 120mm grill over my GPU. Here's my question. If I were to mount a fan to that 120mm grill do I have the fan blowing at the GPU or pulling air out? I have 1 intake fan and 1 exhaust fan since I have a fairly basic system.

Normally you'd want it as an intake. The only problem with this is that some grill designs cause a really annoying harmonic, in which case I would add it to the front or bottom as intake. If neither is an option, using the side mount as an exhaust will work too and won't cause any harmonics, it just doesn't contribute as much to overall cooling as it would as intake.
