my PC power button kept on flashing after i press it to turn PC

does it flash at a constant rate or does it speed up and slow down. Also would be helpful to know what mobo/case your using and does your computer work fine other than the flashing light?
as a side note if I had to take a guess based on the information provided I'd say you have the cables for your power light hooked to the HDD light spot on the motherboard
