hello people of tom'sHardware,

So as christmas rolled by i decided to treat myself to a new mouse, the deathadder 2013 by razer which would take place of my razer taipan. Everything was smooth at first and i had no problems, the mouse worked great and i really like it, however, on startup my computer would go through a process of passing the "loading windows" screen then proceeding no further, leaving a plain gray screen with nothing to display. (basically login screen is not available)

I booted into safe mode and restored to before i installed the mouse drivers and my pc would start normally. The deathadder drivers would once again install and the mouse would work. however as soon as i turn the pc off and back on, gray screen.

i booted into safe mode once again, went over to device manager and uninstalled the Razer Deathadder drivers, then restarted the computer. Worked great.

So basically, i am not able to use my new mouse, and im wondering if this is a problem that has been seen before?
i'm not too tech savvy so take all my information with a grain of salt.

anyone who feels they may be of any help with my situation, input would be greatly appreciated!

Have you gone to razer's FAQ section on there web site? Maybe there is an answer there.

Have you tried to install the Razer Synapse 2.0 Configuration software? This is needed for the Deathadder's (original or 2013 vers) to work properly. THis can be downloaded from the same place: http://www.razersupport.com/
