If there is none besides micro center, explain to my mother (who thinks I should shop in a brick and mortar store is better) why shopping online is the is best when building a gaming PC.

hey mom!!! with computer parts today there all ship from larger warehouse to sellers now. micro center/newegg or amazon right now are just larger resellers to vendors. few years ago you could pay few dollars and go to computer swap meets but the internet and free shipping killed most of them off. most online stores like newegg have the same 30 days return as micro center if a part is bad. here where micro center is better then newegg or a online seller. with any rma part to a online retailer your paying for the shipping of the bad part back. micro center or a bick and mortor store...just walk in and return it. another plus for micro center is if the person building a pc from there parts at micro center there walk in tech support can help. make sure when you buy parts your not buying cheap parts to keep a build cheap. some parts like the power supply if you buy the wrong part will come bsck and byte the builder big time.

I will say the thing I like about microcenter vs online is that when I've had to return things, no restock fees no questions, even if i didn't have a box or receipt they can usually look it up, see what i bought, get me a gift card to get what i want and I'm happy. Also their 2 year warrantees they sell, love them. Once helped a guy I'd built a box for, had trouble with his system like a year out (his fault i think), but had the replacement warranties on about everything, rebuilt almost the entire system for the price of renewing the warranties so it would all be covered. Cost like 40 bucks. But if i didn't do that i would have had almost 0 out of pocket.
