hey,
i have finished building my first PC
here is my rig
Mobo : Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
RAM : Kingston 6 gb(4+2)
Cpu : Amd Athlon(tm) II X3 435 2.90 GHz
Gpu : Amd radeon HD 5670 512mb
hdd : Thoshiba 3Gb/s 160GB
PSU : Corsair VS 450
Speaker : Creative Inspire T3100 2.1

Operating System : Windows8 pro

anyway this is my first build, i have a few doubts regarding Over Clocking and Driver updates.
First thing i am planning to buy Amd FX-8350 three months later i know it requires a bios update
and my concern is that will it make me fresh install windows8 again??
And about overclocking i need to unlock all 4 cores of the cpu, my mobo came with core unlocking how to do this in bios and in os?
and my bord has internal graphics of ATI radeon HD 3000 how to integrate it with my PCI graphic card i dont have a clue of how to get this done
finally what all drivers and softwares i need to install ??

I'm looking forward to play AC unity and Farcry4 on this pc ..

thanks in advance

First thing to do is to install Mobo drivers, Chipset(INF), Audio, Lan and iGPU if you haven't done that yet, then your dedicated video card drivers, afterwards download all windows updates.

If your mobo will need a BIOS update to support the FX-8350 I suggest you update it now, just download the flashing utility from your mobo's website and run it (choose the one that runs from within windows), as long as you ensure the process doesn't get interrupted there won't be problems at all.

No, upgrading BIOS/CPU won't force you to reinstall Windows.

Core unlocking is something I've never done, but very likely the process is described in your mobo's manual.

Installing your iGPU driver and your dedicated video driver will "integrate" both...

Farcry4 should run at low/mid settings depending on the resolution you plan to play, AC unity....... I think your video card (HD5670) is below the minimum requirements for the game so no idea if it will run.

Do exactly what RaDiKaL_ said to do, but install your Chipset driver first.

As for Core unlocking you go to "advanced bios features", CPU Unlock should be enabled, Core Control should be set to manual, and then you should SAVE and re-boot to BIOS again. At that point going back to the same section of BIOS as above, there should be 3 more cores available instead of just 2. (The 1st core is always enabled). But that depends on the BIOS on your board, things might be set out differently to what i told you to do
