Hello,

I recently purchased an AMD FX 8350 to replace an AMD FX 4130 to improve performance on CPU Intensive games and to multitask, I Installed the new Processor into my Computer today. I checked to see if the Processor was recognised and It was, So I decided to test some CPU Intensive games to see the improvement in performance, But I noticed my Performance throughout my Computer was the same, if not, worse than before, with the fps in the games tested the same as before with the 4130. Is this natural or is there a way to fix this?

Computer Specifications:
Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 Graphics Card
hitachi hds725050kla360 ATA Hard Drive
AMD FX 8350 Procesor 4.0 GHz (8 Core)
8GB DDR3 RAM
Asus M5A78l-M/USB3 Motherboard

Thanks,

Joe.

Your board is woefully unsuited for an 8320/8350. Even though it "supports" them. You will get some pretty severe thermal throttling with the cpu under heavy load such as gaming or Prime95. Forget about trying to overclcok.
