Hi, I turned on my PC and after it working perfectly fine a few hours before, no display was being shown this time. I tried unplugging it and so on but nothing, I plugged the HDMI cable into the Motherboard rather than the graphics card and that worked, but obviously I don't want to use the integrated graphics.

I've looked in device manager and my graphics card Nvidia gtx 660 is not showing there or anywhere on my computer and when trying to download drivers for it I get an error message saying I have no compatible hardware. I checked all the cables and none were loose and like I said it was working fine only a few hours before.

The PC is alienware x51 R2., thanks for any help.

Solution
PSU failed or GPU took a crap. Pull the card and it's power cable. Reseat the card and reconnect the power. Use a different PCI power cable if your PSU has one. It's not likely to be a driver issue if there is no display even at boot.

Rigs that come prebuilt generally use cheap power supplies. What is the model and brand of the power supply?
