How to add additional RAM sticks to computer

I built my first computer using a bit of help from the folks here. I have an Asus MSA 99x EVO R2.0 motherboard with 2 sticks of RAM, both ADATA DDR3 1600 PC3-12800 4GB. It's been up and running for a few months now.

This motherboard has four slots, and I've just purchased two additional sticks of the exact same type. I've been searching the net today for almost an hour and can't find the answer to this question: Do I just slap the suckers in and fire the computer back up? Or is there more to it?

Thanks for your guidance!

Solution
Yup - slap those puppies in and fire it up! If it boots alright, check to see that they're running at the proper speed, but other than that there's really not much to it.
Compatibility conflicts are possible, but you won't know till you boot. If it refuses to boot or gets stuck in a boot-loop, the most common symptoms, you can play around with your BIOS settings some to try to get them to play nicely together, or return them for a different set to see if they work. Just keep track of the new ones and old ones in case you need to separate them out again.

Thanks guys! So I'm assuming I make sure the speeds are correct and change these settings as suggested (if I run into any problems, of course) in my bios, but where? And is freq and timings the same as speed, or are we talking apples and oranges here?

Ok. FINALLY got my RAM sticks, and slap those puppies in and get "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media..." message. To be clear: I've taken out my old ones and am only installing the new ones at this time. So I go into the BIOS and make the following changes:

BIOS > Ai Tweaker > Ai Overclock Tuner>
I set it to D.O.C.P.

I see that Memory Frequency is set to DDR3-1600MHz and assume that it the 1600 that is referred to above.

CPU & NB Voltage>
I set it to Manual Mode and I see:

CPU/NB Manual Voltage - I set it to 1.250000

DRAM Voltage - and set it to 1.55000

I am still getting the message to "Reboot and select proper boot device..." any ideas what I need to do next?

First, check both ends of your OS drive's power and data cables to make sure one didn't get knocked loose when you were. If that doesn't fix it, boot to your BIOS, make sure your boot priorities are set correctly, then reset your mobo settings to default - if I remember correctly, it should give you the option in a pop-up window when you click the "Exit" tab. Then save and exit to boot. This will get your mobo to do a fresh component detection. If it boots properly, go back to BIOS and redo your DOCP settings.

Hey, volcano, thanks for the suggestions. I already did all that before I came back to the forums to check for an answer - - twice! :D I've got another thread over in the Storage forums. I'm thinking what's going on might not be a RAM issue, but something else is failing. However, if anyone has any more settings I can check in BIOS for RAM compatibility, I'm all go!

Thanks again for the assistance.
