Solution

Power buttons don't lit up??? Check the 6-pin connectors, people sometimes do forget to plug in 6-pin hence power lights on the card dont come on...

Since I solved many people with typical problems like yours, just switch back into on-board graphics and go into your bios. Check to see an option called "PCI-e adapter" and see what your motherboard switched to. Sometimes removing hardware, your bios will reset the settings, and just change it back to PCI. If that doesn't work, check windows...

Since I solved many people with typical problems like yours, just switch back into on-board graphics and go into your bios. Check to see an option called "PCI-e adapter" and see what your motherboard switched to. Sometimes removing hardware, your bios will reset the settings, and just change it back to PCI. If that doesn't work, check windows. Often enough windows sometimes will not recognize the new hardware, just go to Device Manager and under display adapters, click on it and see what it says. If its not detected it will have "unknown device" and just browse around the tabs to find hardware detection. Click it and it will refresh and hopefully windows will recognize the hardware.

Post your computer specs, since I don't know, it wont help. Especially if you are using a pre-built / bought computer like HP, they can limit the bios to not have new hardware installed.

That 450w psu should be more than enough for this card, even though 500w is usually the recommended. Have you checked your bios??

When you plug in 6-pin into the graphics card the computer won't turn on...that is a case where your power supply doesn't supply enough power to run everything. Hence the reason when you try to start it, no lights come on.

Then when you installed your graphics card into your computer, you might have ESD discharge that damaged something in your computer hence why part of it works and part of it doesnt. I suggest trying your graphics card on another computer and see in their rig if it boots up. If it does then it means you did something very wrong when you installed it in your computer.
