I have a 7950 boost, Tahiti, currently and thanks to the glut of possibly mining cards on the market I can pick hip another used for around $100. ($250/new)

Should I SLI or is it really time to upgrade, for a significantly greater expense obviously.

I'm considering picking up a 4k monitor soon. I do music design and composition, mainly television spots and online content, and some gaming, AAA stuff when I have time. My single card seems to display the games fine.

I have a i5 haswell ASUS Gryphon z87 based system with 32gb of 2133mhz RAM, if I remember correctly.

Thanks for any advice.

for amd its crossfire not sli, but I run 2 7970s and it still wouldnt be enough for 4k. 4k gaming you really need 2 cards like 2 290xs or 2 970s

yes it would run most games fine if you arent trying to max everything out but I cant say for sure since i only run 1440p
