I'm looking to build a budget HTPC. It will output via HDMI to a TV and via optical to a NAD D3020 receiver. I have decided to use an AMD A6-6400K APU. From what I have read, this should be enough to play 1080p media. I am not interested in gaming at all.
So far, I've found these components for my build (your opinion on these would be awesome);
CPU - AMD A6-6400k - $65 newegg
Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-F2A78M-D3H - $70 newegg
Memory - Team Elite Plus 8GB - $65 newegg
What do you recommend for a very inexpensive case and power? I need it to be fairly quiet. I would also like to control this through a remote. Do you have any suggestions?
I do not need an optical drive and I have a couple of hard drives that I can repurpose.
