OS: Windows CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 3.4GHz Quad-Core MOBO: Asus z97 A Ram:Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1 x 8GB) PSU:Corsair 750W ATX12V GPU:Asus GeForce GTX 770 2GB DirectCU II

Ok so I just had to switch my whole rig to a new motherboard because of failure on the old one. After plugging in everything and turning it on I discover that it won't recognize my keyboard. It says that it recognizes 2 keyboards and 2 mice and 2 hubs but neither the mouse or keyboard is working. The same keyboard works with my laptop so I don't think its the problem. Any help would be very appreciated.

look at the last 4 number of the mb serial number that the bios rev of the mb if it out it may be missing code for usb devices. if your mb has the usb flashback port use it.

put the newest bios file on it. if you have to fine a hard wire usb keyboard.

Yep. Connect up just the SSD, and do an install. Get internet connectivity, then all the patches. Then connect up any other drives.

You don't seem to have a functional PC right now, so doing backups is not very practical prior to starting. Get your original driver disk or the latest from the motherboard vendor out and go for it...

Im going to check that out and get back with the results!

make sure in the bios legacy boot is on and sercure boot is off. in the bios under hard drive in boot set the usb stick as first boot. also make sure you used the windows iso to usb tool some of the other tools dont make usb stick bootable. you should see if the usb stick is working hit any key to boot from cd rom.
