should i clear my cmos, just updated bios

i just updated my bios for the first time and was wondering if i should clear my cmos (have not done it yet), motherboard is a msi z87-g45 gaming and i updated to the latest version, i also restored the settings back to default in the bios. should i need to clear my cmos and am i risking any damage doing so, or not doing so?

No, The CMOS stores the bios settings so by restoring settings back to default you have essentially already cleared the CMOS.

You won't damage the computer by clearing the CMOS.
