How do I chang the channel of frequency on my wireless adapter on my desktop computer. I and using the Rosewill RNX-N600PCE, Dual Band Wireless N600 Wi-Fi Adapter. There is a utility that it comes with that would allow me to change the channel but the area to enter it has become faded and will not allow me to change it. I have tried re-installing the driver but it still does not work. I am on windows 7 64 bit. Thank you for helping.

Most of the wireless mice are on 2.4 GHz, but they run a propietary scheme, and do not interfere with the WiFi. I use the Logitech mouse, and it does not interfere with the WiFi, nor could I identify a channel it is on.

From your router's setting, you can certainly choose another channel. You have three choices: 1, 6 or 11 as the ones in between all overlap to one of these 3.
You do not change the channel on the Wifi adapter. It will detect all the 11 channels of the 2.4 GHz wifi, and then communicate via the router you select.

You definitely can change the channel on the router for your wireless network. This is done via the router's software, or access page.

My problem is that my wireless mouse and my wifi adapter run on the same channel and it interferes with one another. Is there a way that I can change my channel on my wireless adapter to solve this problem?

I am new to this site and I hope I am replying properly.
