I received a computer for Christmas with an R7 240, and A10-7800. I figured that because the computer was slightly outdated, I should update the drivers. I went to the AMD website and downloaded the "Auto-Detection" application and ran it. Here is where my problems began. After the application detected my hardware and began installing the required drivers, my computer froze. I left it for a while, thinking that maybe it would fix itself but an hour later it was still frozen. So after powering off the computer I rebooted and tried to install the drivers again, but this time I uninstalled the old ones just in-case they were corrupted. I re-installed the auto-detection app and ran it and once again crashed on installing AMD Graphics Driver. So I did a Factory reset and installed them again. This time the installation completed so I went ahead and installed Far Cry 3. After launching I noticed some immediate issues. I was playing on all settings medium on 1360x768 and getting 60+ FPS but after the reset I now get 20 FPS or so on low. Basic PC tasks are also incredibly slow, including opening games, Chrome, etc. Also, AMD Catalyst will no longer open. After launching it, it remains in the task manager.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
