MB, RAM and CPU to go with SLI GTX 970 4GB and 3 x 1440p monitors for gameplay

What should I buy for the 2 new video cards?

Gaming mostly

Currently running

3 x 1440P screens Qnix

Asus Maximus V extreme

i5 3570k

2 x 8gb 667 Ram

massive air cooler

I am debating a new MB, CPU and RAM

But not sure if the upgrade is worth the cost.

Please help

I doubt you will get that much of a performance gain by upgrading the MB, CPU and RAM. I would say that getting SLI 970s would be more than enough.

depending on your budget i would sli two 980s and upgrade your processor to an i7-4790k

I second MasterDell's statement. SLI 970 GTXs is the way to go. What power supply do you have? What is your budget?

Also, if you don't have an SSD, it's a wise choice.

wait for the 5th generation of intel processors to come out " http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/performance-chipsets/z97-chipset-brief.html " and see if the performance increase is enough to upgrade to what you want, at that time you would have to upgrade your mobo to something like the asus maximus vii hero i personally say its a great mobo
