I bought this computer and every now and then it will spike my connetion horribly. i checked the netowrk and its just my computer with this problem

How do you know it is not the network? 95% of the time, ping spikes are caused by wifi connections. Plug the computer in with an Ethernet cord and I bet you won't get these spikes anymore.
